juju is four years younger than me and we're alike in so many ways. sometimes i get desperate trying to teach them what i wish i'd known four years ago. they are very understanding with these outpours. overall an incredibly wise kid and i know they'll figure it all out in good time.

when i draw someone, i want the drawing to show how i see them but it's generally a barely-echo of beauty. she reassured me about that and i reassured her that there was no limit to how many songs i wanted to listen to her play.

every other line poem game with gracie, i copied down our final version. i like when making stuff is a game, that might be my favorite way.

was drawing the band at honky tonk tuesday and then had a conversation with this guy who lives in ridgewood & hopped some trains to get down to nashville. i took notes on his reccomendations.

he wanted to draw blind contours. mine was more legible but he wasn't flattered.
